Any stevie wonder fans(help with reissues)?

hello;
i just got 'Songs in the key of life original double cd; i was wondering if anyone can tell me if the reissue is better and worth getting?

The only stevie remastered stuff i have heard is on song review and i thought it was fine so are the albums just as good or orginals worth keeping?

SoulAlive

Get the reissues! There are no bonus tracks but the sound quality is amazing.The original Songs In the Key Of Life CD has a flat sound,since it was manufactured in the 80s.Trust me,get the remaster.

and for something completely different....

I actually prefer the original. I lost one of the discs of the original and bought the remaster. I think it has been over limited and the high frequencies have been boosted significantly which in my opinion has brought out a fuzziness in the vocals which is not so pleasing to my ears. I wish I still had the original, you can always turn up the treble on the stereo to get it a bit brighter, but turning down the treble on the remaster doesn't make it sound like the original to me.

Let me put it like this:
The remaster sounds more like modern records.
The original sounds like the way they released it.

You may prefer the remaster but I don't neutral
Music, sweet music, I wish I could caress and...kiss, kiss...

99% of modern records sound horrific. Alot of remasters as well sound horrible i agree.
I'll listen tonight and see what's the sound like; you are probably correct though.

SenseOfDoubt

I do not know the original stevie cds from the 80s - but anyway, I was kinda disappointed with the remastered ones. the sound sharp, the high frequencies are too loud wink but do not be discouraged, simply check em out! wink

btw, just got this message when i logged in: "SenseOfDoubt… I sincerely want to fuck the taste out of your mouth.." razz

yeah that's common nowadays and it's ruining the sound of music.
