Milli Vanilli Story To Be Turned Into Film!
Fake pop stars to be played by real actors shock…

By: Zoheir Beig on 2/15/2007

The story of Milli Vanilli, who in the 80s were exposed as frauds after selling millions of records, is to be turned into a film.

With a script penned by Jeff Nathanson, the guy behind the likes of The Terminal and Rush Hour 3, the Milli Vanilli movie will look at how the duo topped the charts in the late 1980s, before it was revealed that they hadn’t actually sung on their own records.

One half of the pair, Rob Pilatus, died in 1998 from a drug overdose as they were attempting a comeback.

According to Ananova surviving member Fabrice Morvan has given his blessing to the project.

“I've always been fascinated by the notion of fakes and frauds, and in this case, you had guys who pulled off the ultimate con, selling 30 million singles and 11 million albums and then becoming the biggest laughing-stocks of pop entertainment” said Jeff.

He added: “Fabrice had always refused to sell their rights; he was very cautious of Hollywood after all he'd been through. But my intention is to tell this story from their point of view.”

gah, think of it: actors re-enacting guys who re-enacted other peoples' voices. kinda like that burger king commercial: fake...on top of fake...on top of fake! it's just so...surreal. nuts
