Milli Vanilli- The Movie?

Sing along! Milli Vanilli: The Movie at Universal?

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a little bit of oddness on this day of my birth. Jeff Nathanson (who went from SPEED 2 to back to back Spielberg movies (CATCH ME IF YOU CAN and THE TERMINAL) will write and direct a Milli Vanilli biopic for Universal.

I'd love to see this movie with a soundtrack a half-second out of whack, but Nathanson seems to want to make a respectful and serious film. In all seriousness, the story of Rob Pilatus and Fabrice Morvan is a very sad one and the drama and tragedy involved I'm sure is incredibly appealing to Nathanson.

He's gotten the support of Pilatus estate and the cooperation of Morvan.

never knew about this

"Attempted comeback

In order to restore their career and prominence after a series of failures, Farian agreed in 1997 to produce a new Milli Vanilli album with Morvan and Pilatus on lead vocals. On Farian's tab, the performers took extensive vocal training to enhance their singing voice and went to elocution experts to improve their English pronunciation. This all led up to the recording of the 1998 Milli Vanilli comeback album Back and in Attack.[6] Even some of the original studio singers backed the performers in their attempt to bring back some of the fame that had been shed so quickly.

However, Pilatus encountered a number of mental roadblocks during the production of the new album. He turned again to drugs and a life of crime, committing a series of robberies and ultimately serving three months in jail in California. Farian paid for Pilatus to attend six months of drug rehabilitation and plane tickets for him to fly back to Germany. On the eve of the new album's promotional tour on April 2, 1998, Pilatus was found dead of a drug overdose in a Frankfurt hotel at the age of 32. The record was never released"

too bad they werent able to complete this..it would have been very interesting

I KNOOOOOW! That is MEGA interesting.

The album was reportedly going to be called, Back and in Attack.

Here is some more info about that album:

Back and in Attack (1998) was to have been the third album by the pop vocal duo Milli Vanilli.

Rob Pilatus and Fab Morvan began the promotional tour for the album on 3 April 1997. Exactly one year later, shortly before the new album's release, Pilatus was found dead from an alcohol and drug overdose in Frankfurt, Germany. The producer, Frank Farian, cancelled the release. The songs recorded for the album, which was assumed to be complete at the time of Pilatus' death, were never made available to the public. The remaining member, Morvan, pursued a solo career without the assistance of Farian.
