These are 2 of the greatest albums of the 90s, and even would make the top 50 of all-time best albums. I have 2 say 'Nevermind', is more infulential than oldmost any album, and will always be looked apon the original grunge album, dat made rock cool and artistic. Dres album was a true classic, but rap has gone really down and is crap, in the last few years. Rap now is bout duets and rappin bout how many girls the guy shagged, how many cars he drives and finally! How he drinks Crystel (Expensive Champane) in his pool. Dre is of a few, a rap legend and they ain't many of them, while Nivana spawned many great rock bands.

Rock is pretty low right now too. Creed? Matchbox 20? Nickelback? System of a Down? rolleyes The only relevant rock right now consists of the Strokes, White Stripes and some proven acts like the Chili Peppers. Everything else is just crap. Rap is in the same boat. I believe that P. Diddy destroyed rap with his incessant sampling and reliance on collaborations. However, there are people like Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, OutKast and NERD who are still interesting and innovative.

There was plenty of artistic rock before Kurt Cobain was even born.

Dres album was a true classic, but rap has gone really down and is crap, in the last few years.

Rock is so much better now almost a decade after Cobain's death?

Rap now is bout duets and rappin bout how many girls the guy shagged, how many cars he drives and finally! How he drinks Crystel (Expensive Champane) in his pool.

Exactly the content metal and hard rock have revelled in for years.

Dre is of a few, a rap legend and they ain't many of them, while Nivana spawned many great rock bands.

Which ones?

For sure Nirvana with nevermind.
I should not have to explain this. Not to piss Dr. Dre off but there is nothing of historical musical importance with his chronic album. Maybe in one's life but not overall.

omg, I never heard of Dr.Dre´s "the chronic album"...but then again I could care less about rap music...

Nirvana´s nevermind is seriously overrated imho. It contained the glorious "smells like teen spirit" though.

But I guess it wasn´t just the music that made this album so influential.
