"Doin' it & doin' it" Does anyone remember this song from the late 80's?
I don't remember the name or the artist (although I think that it was "Doin' it") but it was a slow "rap" by a female, set to the background of "My Jamaican Boy" by Grace Jones. The only lyrics that I can remember are; "Doin' it & doin' it and doin' it well...that's what he was doing, and doing it well..." LL Cool J "re-did" the song a few years ago. Does anyone remember the original? By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Does anyone remember the original? Yes I remember the original the song is called "Wild Thang" and it was by Duo called 2 Much who were Almond Joy(MC) and Shortcut(DJ) these girls hailed from the Brownsville section of Brooklyn. The b-side to this single was the hilarious "Totally Awesome" where Almond Joy freaks it in a Valley girl voice. 2 Much sigend with Queen Latifah's Flava Unit in the early 90's...due to legalities Almond Joy began to rap under her birth name Leshaun. She went on to revamp "Wild Thang" in 93 and re-released it as Leshaun on the b-side of her single "Ready or not(Tommy boy records). Then in 96 she hooked up with L.L.Cool J. to duet on "Doin it". She then filed a law suit against LL for him not putting her in the video.Leshaun appeared on other tracks with Coolio, and Brothas ov da black Market. Her debut album "Aint' No Shame In My Game" never saw the light of day which was supposed to be released in 94. I hear she is now working as a interior designer and has since hung up her mic. I am not African. Africa is in me, but I cannot return.
I am not taína. Taíno is in me, but there is no way back. I am not european. Europe lives in me, but I have no home there. I am new. History made me. My first language was spanglish. And I am
