Madonna interview (live radio chat on Sirius) A live Madonna interview by Larry Flick from SIRIUS today.During this rare live radio chat,Madonna plugs her Confessions Tour CD/DVD,noting "I underestimated the impact it would have on my life."She jokes that the only downside to seeing her fans upclose (thanks to a gigantic catwalk used on the tour) was "a few times guys in suits or guys with white button-down shirts and pencils in their pockets with their arms folded...sometimes (their) staring at me without smiling made me think that, like,I was being watched by Big Brother or somebody from the CIA was there to,like, make sure that my behavior was not counterrevolutionary or something, you know what I mean? I only got scared by people who looked like they weren't having a good time".
In music news, the ever-charming Larry Flick drops the ball by not following up when Madonna notes that she's been composing songs on her guitar "right now".He mentions his desire to hear a balls-out rock album from her and Madonna replies "I'll go downstairs and tell Pharrell that right now...I could see that as a future incarnation."Madonna then talks about her favorite albums right now."Gnarls Barkley and Justin Timberlake's album [FutureSex/LoveSounds]....that's my favorite record to work out to.I didn't like it when I first heard it.I was like 'this is whack,I don't like this, blah blah blah' then someone played it at a party...it just goes to show that you can't listen to a record just once". Larry then asks her the $64,000 question: SIRIUS: Why do you think gay people love you so much,Madonna? Madonna: Oh God,everybody asks me that SIRIUS: Well, cause I have my own theory Madonna: Oh,share SIRIUS: Well, cause I think,I think you're a big old queen yourself Madonna: but I'm kinda tough like a guy? SIRIUS: But you're a top, you're a top Madonna: Definitely, definitely SIRIUS: You're definitely not a bottom Madonna: Nooo! Don't tell that to my husband SIRIUS: Okay! (lots of laughter) Madonna: Yeah,I don't know,I just think, you know,it's like gay men are sort of like perfect men for,for girls who are tough, because they're not threatened by strong women and they're,you know, usually very in touch with their feelings and pay attention to details and um,I don't know,I've just always had an affinity with gay men and you know, sometimes if I analyze it and say what it is,then I go 'No,that's not totally, entirely the reason'. The interview ends with Madonna declaring "I wanna be like Gandhi and Martin Luther King and John Lennon-but I wanna stay alive".

I thought this was on today but apparently it was yesterday on OutQ. But today it will appear on The Beat (the modern dance pop staiton). It's playing like all day so I'll try to catch it. Do you have Sirius? I don't want to read it because I'd like to hear what she says. Thanks for posting, though.

I'm trying to listen to it right now but it's not going to be possible...they are breaking it up into pieces with songs (but not just her songs which is just stupid but whatever..they are playing Milky which I kind of dig). Did anyone hear the whole interview and does this guy ask her about that new/old killer verison of "Erotica".
