I've seen this a few times but that line, "He give it aaaaall to ya.", gets me every time.

I hate it how Lil' Richard is viewed as somewhat of a novelty act. The man has built an empire and all he gets is the buffonary treatment.
In honesty though, he brings most of that to himself.

Lucile Rip It Up Send Me Some Loving Long Tall Sally ...performing live in England. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. In honesty though, he brings most of that to himself. Agree there. Not that I mind Little Richard being known as the crazy old man who yells "WOOOOOHOOOO" and likes to tell people to "SHUTUPPP!!". He has me cracking up all the time. Its just that with all that, people forget that he's a music icon. Instead, they view him as someone in the vein of Richard Simmons

Have you seen that Geico insurance commercial with Little Richard? Hysterical.
To me, Little Richard is the true king of rock and roll. More than Elvis since Little Richard influenced him. I know there's a performer (whose name I can't remember) that Little Richard liked as a kid. This guy wore his hair real high and wore makeup too..but Little Richard ran with the glam look and popularized it. Everyone from The New York Dolls, to Jimi, and of course P, took a little from him..It's still good to see him out there in the public.

I must admit that I was shocked to find out what the original lyrics to "Tuity Fruity" were. At the time I didn't know he got down like that.

...Billy Wright tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 Little Richard owed his piano style and the whole flamboyant personality to Esquerita too.
