Any Bootsy collins fans?

I just got into Bootsy's music a couple of months back and have his first two albums plus the anthology.

The anthology is amazing but i have one pet peeve.

Does anyone else find all the baby, baba in EVRY song annoying? Apart from that the music is brilliant.

'I'm coming for you baba,
yes baby,
here's the funk baba' biggrin you get the picture

Huge Bootsy fan here. Been into Bootsy ever since I was 8. Actually had a chance to open up for Bootsy when he was at the House of Blues in 93. My friend Dee, who was the guitarist in Da'Krash, ended up playing in Bootsy's band for awhile. He got to tour Japan with Bootsy. Anyway, when they got back to Cali, Dee mentioned my band at the time, Amalgam, to Bootsy and they hooked my band up for the opening slot. Barely got a chance to meet Bootsy. He did say that he dug my guitar playing though.
SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
nammie "What BGZ says I believe. I have the biggest crush on him."

Bootsy's definitely one of my musical heroes. The man was a musical cornerstone in the bands of James Brown, p-funk, and gave the crazy avant-garde stylings of Bill Laswell and Buckethead the goofy element/comic relief they needed often . To me, he's the Hendrix of the bass guitar, the man who really broadened the sonic palette of the instrument, and just a great fun personality in this vanilla world of ours.

"Hallelujah, they call me Casper
not tha friendly ghost...
ah but tha holy ghost-eh.. DIG!"

my fav Bootsy track would
probably be "May The Force Be With You"
or "What's A Telephone Bill?"
or maybe "Can't Stay Away"
out of those 3

other notables are "Vanish In Our Sleep"
and "Love Vibes" from this:
"be who you are and say what you feel
because those who mind don't matter
and those who matter don't mind."
