I'm glad they won all those awards, though. It's sweet revenge for all the Bush-loving idiots who wanted their careers to be over, just because they dared to say something bad about him rolleyes You go,Dixie Chicks!! lol

It's actually a very good album. The Dixie Chicks were run-of-the-mill Nashville product when they first started, but their last two albums were excellent, roots-based country.

Totally agree! The Dixie Chicks have put out quality albums and this one is no exception. It's a great album and they deserved every award they got. 'My Humps' however did not!

Exactly it was also great to hear in their acceptance speeches the thank u's to Gary Louris, formerly of the Jayhawks, one of the best bands ever that never really got any praise.

Justin looked a bit miffed when he lost to John Mayer for best pop album. lol

Mayer is good, but I just can't look at him! I liked that Prince seemed to appreciate the "real musicians."

Shakira can really shake her hips, but I couldn't hear her or Wyclef. No matter, it was my favorite performance.

Bouncy just can't help but oversing everything. ech. Still gorgeous, though.

There's another song that was used in a different Fidelty Investments ad recently, too, do you (or anyone else) know the name of it?

...

No, the one with Devo is the only I know. I haven't seen the other one.

I agree. It's a stunning album, a full throttle response to their ostracization. They came through as authentic artists, just take a listen to its impact. Seriously. See the movie Shut Up and Sing too...it's basically about their struggle to make the album and their experience. I'm a fan. nod
