Old School Song of the Day: "Hold Your Head Up" by Argent Does anybody remember this song? It came out some time during the 70's (not sure of the exact year, but I'm willing to bet someone on the org will know). I love this song (especially the organ solo), it's kind of become the theme song of my life, since quitting my job a few weeks back. I find myself listening to it and using it as kind of a way to keep going. Corny, I know, but true:
Argent - "Hold Your Head Up" And if it's there Don't let it get you down, You can take it. And if it hurts Don't let them see you cry, You can make it. Hold your head up, oh Hold your head up, oh Hold your head up, oh Hold your head high. Hold your head up, oh Hold your head up, oh Hold your head up, oh Hold your head high. And if they stare Just let them burn their eyes On you moving. And if they shout Don't let it change a thing That you're doing. Hold your head up, oh Hold your head up, oh Hold your head up, oh Hold your head high. Hold your head up, oh Hold your head up, oh Hold your head up, oh Hold your head high. (interlude) RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Great song.
It made my Favorite Pop/Rock Organ Tunes list. Rod Argent's history with... ...The Zombies was mentioned in a recent thread here also. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

They played Hold Your Head Up at that show, and I'm hoping it's going to stay in their set because it was definitely one of the highlights. I really recommend seeing them if you get the chance - excellent songs played very well.

Mother Love Bone did a cover of this song that, IMO, beats the original. "Down by the riverbank in the old bayou.. I'm digging a grave into mud just for you."
