Timbaland continues making a fool of himself

Quoted from:http://www.mtv.com/news/a...land.jhtml

A European musician Tim is familiar with is, however, is the Finnish producer who accused him of stealing a beat (see "YouTube Clip Claims Timbaland Got Furtado Track From Finnish Dude"). Timbaland called the accusation "foolish."

"It makes me laugh," he said. "The part I don't understand, the dude is trying to act like I went to his house and took it from his computer. I don't know him from a can of paint. I'm 15 years deep. That's how you attack a king? You attack moi? Come on, man. You got to come correct. You the laughing stock. People are like, 'You can't be serious.' "

What's wrong with Timbaland? Is he insane or just plain stupid? Why aren't these kiss ass reporters confronting him? He's freaking admitted using the music. So how is the accusation foolish? Bizarre...

And he shows no respect for the artist he ripped off...

"I reached out to Madonna, and she was already trying to find me," Timbaland explained on Wednesday while in town for Justin Timberlake's FutureSex/LoveSounds tour (see "Timberlake, Samberg Whip Out The Boxes At New York Show"). "I'm like, 'She was? Hmm.' It's funny. People will reach out to me, and I guess I beat them to the punch sometimes. It's crazy to see how many people want to work with me. I'm still in shock."

It saddens me to say that there is a portion of the hip hop community that doesn't understand that what Timbaland did is morally and legally wrong... I really don't understand how people can stick up for thieves...

Tim Mosely used to be the hot doggone back in 1996/97,,,,but he def lost it after Aaliyah died.

But yes, he has a notorious rep for jacking off people(just like the rest).

Remember Jay-Z's "Big Pimpin'" song back in 2000? The song actually has a portion of a big hit made by an Arab sing called Abdul-Halim Hafez. I didn't see Halim's name or his co-writers ANYWHERE in the credit liner notes.

Same with Aaliyah's "I don't know what to tell ya", ripping off another Arab singer.

Well like i said he better just keep riding this wave of being "IN" cause it wont last very long. One of the reasons RB/Hip Hop is dieing a slow death is because of the producers, you really only have a handful and everyone they produce sounds the same. So it seems like there are 4 or 5 songs in RB and Hip Hop and everyone just keeps re-doing them. With Aaliyah i always felt Timbaland was overrated, i felt that when she got to third album thats when she started to grow it was mainly because Timbaland wasnt all over that album at all.

His comments are ignorant, but I don't feel comfortable labeling "all the rest of them in his genre" the same way.

Agreed. They had a great partnership, but it's really Tim's more avant-garde work with artists like Missy and Bubba that wows me.

I wouldn't say that. They were at their best together, but Tim's done a lot of great things since Aaliyah's death (Afrodisiac, Loose, "Cry Me a River").

Not to me, he ain't. He along with Static(from Play) were to Aaliyah what Burt Bacharach & Hal David were to Dionne Warwick.

His music really shined in Aalyiah's voice more than anybody he ever worked with, after she died, something about him died with her,,,,at least IMHO.

Well then, in that case,,,Static wins the best of the deal.

He's really one of the most gifted/underrated lyrics writers right now. I see alot of Smokey Robinson and Curtis Mayfield in his craft,,,but the brotha has his individuality in check too :nod.:

Somehow I agree that Aaliyah's death took something out out Timbo's production skills. Even Timbo & Missy acknowledge that all of their most experimental tracks always went straight to Asliyah and still because hits.

But I must say that Wait A Minute is still a funny track he made for The Pussycat Dolls.

The album version of "Wait a Minute" is the better one, Timbaland almost had nothing to do with it, but then they wanted to put it out as a single and they remixed it and made the thing into a duet almost, and it became PCD's first "dud" in terms of the charts. Overseas it was passed on as a single infavor of "I dont need a man" which went Top 10 over there.
