So who watched 'The Best Of Soul Train' this weekend?

The Average White Band were great, but I could never get into The Undisputed Truth disbelief Their performance was awful! The highlight of this episode was the line dance segment with "I Love Music" by the Ojays.

Next week: a 1980 episode featuring Rick James and The SOS Band!! clapping

Remember that dude who did the crazy head shake? I'm sure he ended up with a concussion! The Undispute Truth were out there! lol I read up on them a bit after watching that, and Taka Boom would later join them.

I have a Greatest Hits CD by the Undisputed Truth and I don't like it all.Their music was produced by Norman Whitfield but it's obvious that he gave his best material to other artists (The Temptations,Rose Royce, etc).Of course,"Smiling Faces Sometimes" is a masterpiece, their one and only gem.

Yeah, I kinda scratched my head when he said Norm Whitfield produced them.

i dunno what the fuck the programmers at KSTP in st. paul were smoking when they decided that a 4 am time slot would be the best for soul train, especially considering that most of sunday after the news n'such they run infomercials.

i'd watch it on WGN if i had cable, but alas... sad

It had apparently been there for about 20 years when she died, in a steamer trunk full of baking soda. I can't remember the exact quote, but there was a note in there that said, "This poor unfortunate soul broke into my apartment and I was forced to shoot him."

I did, I loved it. Average White Band was cool. You can watch it on Soultrain.com..I believe that was the internet address. Undisputed Truth was more like a George Clintion P-Funk copy, but they are classic, what can I say. lol

I had a great time checking out the 70s fashions and the big afros, a fashion era that stands out by itself.

They went way back with that episode. Besides The Average White Band and The O'Jay's "I Love Music", I don't think I've heard any of those songs they played. They were decent though and sure as hell better than those late 80s episodes.

I thought The Undisputed Truth had a great look. They were wild as hell and I don't like a damn thing normal. lol

Did anyone else see Jody Watley during the line dance with the other guy from Shalamar? She was also in the first 15 minutes as well!
