I hope that Michael does do something different and make a statement. I really would support him if he did that...I don't think he will, but that would be a great move. It's sounding like he is more interested in getting involved in movie production these days though...Whatever he does, I wish him the best.

I don't think MJ has any chance of recreating the kind of success he has had in the past and think he should stop trying. His latest album seemed to be a cynical attempt at making "hip" music by employing a legion of writers/producers to take advantage of current musical taste. From being ground breaking he has become run of the mill. Its a shame to see a guy with such obvious talent throw it away in a vain pursuit of past global success. I think most of us here would appreciate an MJ album which tried to be really different and challenging.

I like Michael Jackson. He may seem a little lost lately but has a great artistic past behind him.
And that voice is a true gift, imho

Mike's an idiot asshole now. Ever since the "Thriller" album, it's gone downhill. Not musically but mentally.
Nuff said. rolleyes

This week I was actually pretty shocked to hear from my workmates their views on Prince. Michael Jackson is and always has been a major topic for discussion when music gets into the conversations, especailly with me around and especially right now with the UK suddenly being OBSESSED by doing documentaries on the man.

Just this lunchtime I told a few workmates that I'm gonna see Prince in 3 weeks and I'm really excited about it. They called HIM a freak and a weirdo. This I usually expect with MJ, but not Prince.

I guess we're all in the same boat and you're only going to TRY to understand the eccentricities of the person you're more inclined to like. I love them both and I'm fed up with defending my tastes against people who think that something is good just because it gets to #1. F**k them all. Like what you like and don't feel the need to explain why.

i thought u spend all your money on shopping. ain't u gonna regret hearing him play the Rainbow Children.

U are right about Prince being weird. Yesterday, a kid called him a fag. and My Spanish teacher snickers and seems to have an attitude like she is going to roll her eyes when she hears the word Prince in our stories.

For the many times I've said so, I do! But I feel sorry for him also.

A car passed by me when I was walking to the train station the other day, and surprisingly, it was blasting 'Rock with you'. I started to remember that voice, his looks, and that video all back when ...

wink
