Björk vs. Charo: YOU DECIDE

vs.

I realize it's been a while since I've done one of my scintillating Icon vs. Icon threads, and after all of the literally twos or threes of Orgnotes I've received on this or other subjects, I figured the time had come for a new installment!

So, okay...in a battle of the wits, a battle of the muscles, a battle of the musical chops, a battle of the hairstyles, a battle of the screeches...WHO WOULD WIN?!?

YOU DECIDE!!!!

coochie, coochie, coochie

And, no, that wasn't a solicitation. Charo. The woman can play the guitar beautifully.

they're actually more similar than it might appear...for starters, they're both classically trained musicians who have been playing since they were children.

personally, i think they should join forces and do a cover of "enough is enough".

And let's hope there's similar rumored drama as there was when Babs and LaDonna recorded it. The story is that Donna was trying so hard to outsing Babs that she fell off of her chair. If it happened to Charo, she could feasibly bounce back up if she falls chest first.

which brings us back to the "VS." aspect of the thread...brilliant!

i would seriously consider selling my soul to the devil if i could get a chance to watch donna summer falling off her chair while recording that song. wow. lol

ok, well, think about this way:

is it easier to imagine charo singing "human behavior" than it is to imagine bjork signing "feliz navidad"? or vice versa?

Personally I think they should not! I think they should do "These are a few of my favorite things".

Hmmm. Both would be challenging. I'd rather hear Bjork sing Hoochie Coochie (A real song I tell you). But I look at it this way if I was to have lunch wit either, I'd probably pick Charo. I think she'd be highly entertaining!

So, Charo!

oh wow. i'd want to have lunch with both of them. at the same time. yes. i'd want them to record the abbott & costello "who's on first" skit for my outgoing voicemail message. as far as i'm concerned, it's a total 50/50 tie!

i mean, bjork looks better in capes, you have to admit.

Yes, but Charo was one of Capt Stubings Favorite Musical Menaces. And who didn't love Charo on the Love Boat!

And I doubt Bjork would have said yes to Pee Wee. Though I think Charo says yes to almost anyone. neutral

I do think Brork has better hair

*sung with the same zest as "More To Life Than This"

The Cowwntess is so classy
Rrrandy's kinda Sassy
A nuttiere establishment you've never seeeen!
Spend the day with Pee Wee and you'll see what we mean!

Both could be mistaken for Michael Jackson, but I think Bjork has an edge in this case. So bonus points to Bjork for that.
