You Have No Idea - Liz Phair

I haven`t heard about this song before

"You have no idea how much I love you
What I would do for your natural touch
And you have no idea just how I'd hold you

You have no idea how much it moves me
Just staring deeply into your brown eyes"

I see what you mean...

Unchained melody (The Spector version)

Is that the version used in the movie "Ghost"?

SenseOfDoubt

Today I'd go for: "Don't let the green grass fool you" by the mighty Wilson Pickett.

She performed it on her solo '95 tour - it yet remains unreleased, but it's the best song ever!

Add this one to your list: "The Last Beat Of My Heart" - Siouxsie And The Banshees

totally forgot about this one...
love the lyrics. very romantic.
(love the b-sides, too!)

"El Dia De Los Muertos" is great! It took me awhile to find the extended version on CD. It makes sense that you would like that one.

Harlepolis

I loves you, Porgy,
Don't let him take me
Don't let him handle me
And drive me mad
If you can keep me
I wanna stay here with you forever
And I'll be glad

Yes I loves you, Porgy,
Don't let him take me
Don't let him handle me
With his hot hands
If you can keep me
I wants to stay here with you forever
I've got my man

I loves you, Porgy,
Don't let him take me
Don't let him handle me
And drive me mad
If you can keep me
I wanna stay here with you forever
I've got my man

Someday I know he's coming to call me
He's going to handle me and hold me
So, it' going to be like dying, Porgy
When he calls me
But when he comes I know I'll have to go

I loves you, Porgy,
Don't let him take me
Honey, don't let him handle me
and drive me mad
If you can keep me
I wanna stay here with you forever
I've got my man

i tend to like more tragic love songs if you will. lol

wow...too many great love songs to mention, but one that comes to mind that i played today is

Otis Redding ~ "These Arms Of Mine" and also
"Besame Mucho" definitely tops in my book. preferably Placido Domingo's version.

Etta James ~ "At Last"
"First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" as someone mentioned earlier.

and of course i can't leave out my girls MADONNA and KYLIE.
a few of theirs that are classics for me are

"Crazy For You"
"Finer Feelings"
"Ocean Blue"
"Love Tried To Welcome Me"
"Look Of Love"
"If You Don't Love Me"
"Love Don't Live Here Anymore" (yes i know it's a cover)
"I Want You" (ditto)
"You Must Love Me"
"Love Song" (of course) wink
"Forbidden Love" ( from "Bedtime Stories")
"I Deserve It"
"Put Yourself In My Place"
