Edit: I see you included the album.

I'm not that hip to Dionne's music pos-Burt.

This version's good, but the demo version she cut is even better.

I'm gettin' tired of this place freezing up lol

You can hear a sample of it at the Amazon entry for Hidden Gems (a great companion for the earlier Rhino best-of collection).

Cool clip, thanks for posting

"Dionne" is a wonderful album, especially "My first night alone without you" and "Hasbrook heights" music

"Being myself" is equally great...
"You`re gonna need me" is one of the best songs she recorded in the 70s.

It's not a bad album. The title track is pretty good except for the cat noises. lol I like Thom Bell a lot, and it's definitely got his sound.

Good compilation nod I think it`s the only place you`ll find "Slaves" on cd...

Completely off topic: I was told you`re familiar witha 70s camp horror movies... What you think about "Carrie"? I haven`t seen this movie yet.

A few people recorded it before The Carpenters - Dionne, Dusty Springfield and Frank Sinatra.
