The funkiest bands: The Time, Isleys, Cameo, Gcs,etc.

Once again I came up with this one. Even though I'm in the Prince forum with this topic it still has some relevance. What is your list of the funkiest bands of all time. 1 being the best. Here is my list:
1.Parliament/Funkadelic
2.Cameo
3.Kool & the Gang
4.The Time
5.The Isley Bros.
6.Zapp
7.Earth,Wind & Fire
8.The Ohio Players
9.GCS
10.The Commodores
How's your look? stoned
Peace and be wild!

1. James Brown

The rest are in no particular order...

Sly & The Family Stone
Herbie Hancock
(we he wanted to)
Miles Davis (when he wanted to)
Clinton/Parliament/Funkadelic/Bootsy (and their family of acts)
Kool & The Gang
Stevie Wonder
The Meters
Tower of Power
Earth, Wind & Fire
Booker T. & the MG's
Dyke & The Blazers
The Isley Brothers
Charles Wright & the 103rd Street Rhythm Band
Graham Central Station

...Followed by tons of imitators/emulators whose style origins can probably be traced back to one or more of the above.

The J.B.'s, there's no doubt in my mind. But more advanced students of the funk can weigh in.
