Actually, it was 'Hussain Al-Mihdar' who composed that song nod interstingly enough, he's the force behind Baker's music(Kama Reesha, Ya Zare'een al-enab and a BIG body of work) so I understand why you think Baker composed it.

I saw that on Qatar's TV station, and the Yemeni press was making such a big fuss about it,,,as if Mohammed'a too much of an ego-maniac to share the stage with another legend lol

BTW I don't get all the resentment 2ward Mohammed Abdu shrug

I love Abu Baker Salem so much,,,,,he's 70 years old and he's STILL taking them back to school woot!

Thanx for the link, dahling sexy

If my memory serves me right, it was written by Hussain (as he was a poet) hmmm

Some of the so-called journalists though are the ones who keep on bashing Abdu for he always turns them down when they wanna get too nosey on his personal life (after his divorce and the rumored scandals that accompanied it), so they obviously made it their duty 2 TRY putting him down while in fact he doesn't give a rat's ass lol

Edit

Speakin' of Ettab, her cataloge has apparently become a distinct sad if it wasn't 4 my mom's [worn out] cassettes i'd be damnded so i'll be thankful lol

Yeah I noticed that too, during my stay in Qatar. I haven't stumbled on more than 5 cassettes,,,,why do they give her the cold shoulder? Even though she recorded a huge body of work considering that she started in 1970.

In the media too,,,,I only saw her ONCE in TV(Rotana Tarab) and it was only a quick b&w clip of her per4ming in a Kuwait concert.

I was happy when I got there since I thought I'd have an access to ALOT of things,,,it turned out that they don't shit. Do you believe that bootlegers in USA can get me stuff from her than the stores I found in Qatar? Unbeweavable rolleyes

Some folks at the wrecka stows gave me the " confused " look when I asked them about Ettab,,,and the ones who did, said that there ain't many stuff to check out.

All that fucked-up treatment and she's still alive disbelief some of them even asked me if she's still alive,,,,man, you should KNOW that not me lol
