Madonna and camp really fucked this one up. I really only love Madonna for her stage shows anymore, to be honest. They're so fucking entertaining and while I loved this one live, and especially the remixes...the freeze-frame, schizophrenic, A.D.H.D. jump cuts and motion capture bullshit ruin this entire show for me. She needs to fire Jonas Aukerland from fliming her concert footage. While "Music" may be a great video, he can't keep one angle on the show for more than a millisecond! It's too distracting. The way he tries to incoprorate the video screen images in and around the picture to supposedly "enhance" it...it's just dumb! It makes me want to puke! He also fucked up the footage of the RIT (which wasn't her best show anyway)...it looks awful! Pure shit! She should get whomever did the Drowned World DVD back on board...I'm so disappointed with this. He BUTCHERED "Music" and "Erotica," quite possibly her two best concert performances ever! No one agrees?

Madonna, what the fuck? Do you even watch that shit before you put it out anymore? If you do this when you finally release BA on DVD...it's over between us.

Drowned World Tour was a horrible dvd. Whoever filmed that missed so many key elements to the show. Confessions was nicely done, but the editing on Music Inferno was disppointing.

I honestly have the opposite opinion to what you wrote, but anyway.

i prefer the confessions edit over the DWT because i believe that i lives up to Madonna ultimate vision of the concert, and how the visuals on the screens should interact with the rest of the show giving a complete vision and allowing us to see everything that happened instead of missing out.

Hamish Hamilton directored the DWT for HBO and filmed the RIT in Porturgal that was going to be aired on CBS and released on DVD, but there is a dispute between Boy Toy Inc, and Hamish over payment.

i'll eventually get this. i liked what i saw on tv, the style and visual effects were cool.

as for reinvention, i don't buy the "damaged" story. performers tape every night's show and there were camera crews filming professional segments at all of the shows for the tell you a secret film. there's no way they couldn't, at the very least, piece together an entire show from portions of multiple shows. it would be pretty easy and i think it'll happen when she wants an easy buck.
