Yoko Ono: Yes or Oh-no!?

Yoko Ono has been some sort of mystery 4 several years and I was just wondering, all these years later, if there is any1 that actually likes her? And if u don't like her as a person, did u like her art? Did u respect it? Let's hear from the old folks who were around then...

I'm not sure if the whole sitting-there-in-a-robe-while-John's-wife-walks-in thing is cool. confused I think the hard drugs made her kind of vulnerable and I definitely think she tolerated John's abuse 4 several years until he finally saw the light.

As far as her art tho' I really admire her art. woot! I've never seen it but from what I read it sounded really cool. 4 example the one display she had which was just an apple sitting there...and every1 who came just looked at it like "What's the point of this? It's a rotting apple" But from what I took from it, it was Yoko's joke on THEM as if 2 say "U came 2 c art, but this is just a rotting apple--this is just nature happening here. This is the REAL art, don't get 2 caught up in things which humans create."

confuse It made me think.

Then the other famous display she had, the one where she would meet her future husband. That was the one where u took the magnifying glass, climbed a ladder and looked at this tiny word on the ceiling. When u got 2 the top it said "YES."
And John said how shitty it would have been 2 have climbed the ladder and had it say "NO" which I think is very true.

I interpreted that 2 b an analogy of what life is like. U climb this ladder and u want 2 c an answer at the end, and u want that answer 2 b positive. And sometimes the suspense is 2 much. Not 2 sound suicidal or anything. no no no!

that I feel like a hippie...rolleyes...lol...

John Lennon was responsible for breaking up the Plastic Ono Band. (Yes I stole this; from the Simpsons I believe)

My opinion is that she is a fine and very interesting person, but I'm not a fan of her artistic visions (paticularly her music).

i still don't know what to make of Yoko...in the Lennon exhibit at the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame, there is a bag containing the bloody clothes John had on when he died, and also his blood-stained glasses. i don't know if Yoko offered those items, or the rock hall requested them...but if someone that close to you died the way John did, would you want their bloody clothes etc on display? if they had asked me to provide those items, i think i'd refuse...

My aunt told me about this. She said she peeked thru a hole in the exhibit and saw his blood stained glasses and she was just shocked and disgusted.

I'm guessing that Yoko was ok with this since shortly after John's death she allowed those very same glasses to be a part of the album cover 4 one of their upcoming albums.

It seems funny she would allow something so morbid yet she would not allow Paul 2 change the publishing credits 2 "McCartney-Lennon" 4 just a few songs on the Anthology. I mean damn, it was something Paul always wanted 2 c, his name first, it may b petty but I think she should have granted that. I guess she was 2 busy donating John's glasses 2 somebody. rolleyes

Okay, I just have to say that I really can't stand Yoko. She seems like a truly sick, manipulative person. The way she treated the other Beatles, as well as Julian, is truly wrong. While I have nothing but respect for John Lennon as an artist, I really have to question his integrity as a person. He left a beautiful wife and child for that hag, what is wrong with him.

On that note, a little sick joke for ya: What do Yoko Ono and Ethiopians have in common? They both live off of dead beetles!
