For whatever reason, there are three Ian Dury collections called Reasons to be Cheerful that have been released in the past ten years or so. Each one has a different tracklisting (and each is on a different label, seemingly), so it's not a case of a re-release with a different cover. Weird.

Both good, old-fashion dirty funk albums! I prefer the first, but both are good.

I love Gym Class Heroes for some reason. It's so not my type of music, but I saw the video for Cupid's Chokehold a few months ago on VHI Soul-Underground, and downloaded their CD. So for once, me and my 14 year old son like the same group.

CD - so far, my feelings on it are rather mixed.

Love the crystal-clear production and some of the out-there musical passages, but I've found it to be a little too goofy overall. I've only given it a handful of listens, so I'm not married to that opinion yet.

Of all his music I find this the hardest to listen to.
Sometimes I can put it on and get the rewards.
At other times I'm just glad he made this obscure piece.

There are many, many classics I don't have. I buy them 1) as I can afford them 2) when I'm interested in them.
