Though I don't know much of Perry's solo work, I like this one a lot. It's one of my favorite 80s pop ballads. Oh Sherrie, taken from the same album, was a bigger hit, but I think this one has aged better. Sharon Bryant (formerly of Atlantic Starr) did a nice, if uninspired, cover of this in 1989.

Hot off of the heels of Journey, the great ass song and runaway hit from this album was like my boy Rip stated "Oh Sherrie", which I still adore. But the cut "Foolish Heart" is a good song as well. Man, I was in early high school when this came out. Purple Rain was still destroying the charts and everything else in it's path. But this album, especially the cut "Oh Sherrie" brings back bigtime memories. Good album pick, Tommy Ross.
