you can totally tell it's 90's but thanks for posting. I prefer When I Close My Eyes from 98' though, that's my favourite shanice song

Takes me right back to YMCA summer camp.
I still laugh @ a comment thesexofit made about this song two years ago: the video had "some pervy guy with a camera stalking this young girl." Hakeem's Mix is great on the Inner Child CD.

That self-titled album was really good. She performed "Fly Away" on BET's ALL around the time and she sang her a** off. I recall it being the only BET studio performance with no audience where the damm CREW was heard clapping! NOW THAT's a performance. "Ain't Go No Remedy" and "You Can Bounce" were some of my faves, too. ... [Edited 1/30/07 14:15pm]

[Edited 1/30/07 14:16pm] ALL was the short-lived daily video show which was an update of Planet Groove and Video Soul before it. Darn. I dont remember all but there was a special on BET several years ago with Deborah Cox, maybe Chante Moore and a few other women performing at some sort of concert. Shanice was excellent. Actually she was my favorite which means alot since other women were no chumps either. I always hoped they would repeat it but I never saw it again and it was actually pretty well produced. I think I know what you're talking about. There were so many nice BET shows that were just short-lived like ALL [Kelis gave her first network performance on this show in '99 doing "Caught Out There" & "Get Along With You" with green frizzy hair ] , Out The Box, Screen Scene, etc. There was also a really cool live concert show each week kinda like BET's own Live @ The House of Blues or some set up like that. It featured artists like Corey Glover, Raphael Saadiq, etc. Maybe they were on that show?

I never really watched BET that much but I wish I had seen some of the performances you mentioned.
I did some searching a finally found it: BET Girls Nite Out: An exclusive concert special featuring Faith Evans, Monica, Shanice, Deborah Cox and Andrea Martin. Doesnt say what year but Andrea Martin was out in 1998 so it was damn-near 10 years ago. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

This one pops up every so often on the old school R&b station (not classic but old school with 80s and after) and no matter what is going playing on any of hte other stations, I can't turn away. I love "I Love Your Smile". Love the skating!

speaking of "...young girl" how old was she in this?
my hindsight perception is always screwed up when in life she seemed way older than me at the time.

Shanice has a really nice voice, but I never liked this song from the first time I heard it. I honestly thought it was a commercial. That hum-along part made it sound like one of the songs I would always hear in department stores in the 1970s.

Shanice Wilson was 17 when "I Love Your Smile" came out in late 1991. I'm like RipHer2shreds: I thought the song was for a new JCPenny marketing campaign when I first heard it. Of her earlier music, I preferred songs like "No 1/2 Steppin.'" PS: Last I heard, Shanice was married to comedian/actor Flex Alexander and had two children. [Edited 1/31/07 15:27pm] THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. HOLD ON TO YOUR DRAWERS!

Infact all my late 80's/early 90's rnb videos are void now. My mates use to laugh watching them around my house. Now they can just find them on youtube

Remember the Kiara one "this time" her first album is by the numbers poppy rnb, whilst her walden set is just pop,
