Corinne Bailey Rae

Anyone else like this chick. I was watching an Episode of Studio 60 and saw/heard her and fell in love(with the song...not the actual "her"). The ditty's are a tad gay and by that I mean U don't bump them during the superbowl...but when alone I THOURGHLY enjoy her record...her vocals r soooo SUPERlazy ...I dig it!

What I mean to say is she sounds like a lulaby....she could sit on a chair across the room and sing me and my baby lulaby's while we make love all night....

wait...that sounds a little strange....maybe just the CD and a CD player sitting in the room would work just as well...maybe better cuz I wouldn't have to worry about what she's seeing

Like Norah Jones, she kinda puts me to sleep, but she's got plenty of craft and she's worth a good listening. Her music is affecting enough that I don't think so much about her stripping like I do with the pop diva-hoes

She's cute and there's warmth to her music and I would totally tap that. But she's a bit too overhyped just like Alicia Keys 6 years ago. She still has a long way to go in terms of artistic growth for folks to be saying that she's the best thing in music.

Based on what i've seen of her, my impression is that she'd be better off in the long run as a songwriter (e.g. Carole King) as opposed to a performer.

I agree....I have her CD, however got bored with it really quick...it all starts to sound the same after a while....and nothing particularly original....very much an early Norah Jones-type.

Before you know it, she will become Muzak and/or elevator music....sorry to say....

She's ok. I got the CD, listened to it a few times then moved on to something else. I think she's got talent, but the songs leave me a bit flat. I wish Alice Smith got half the publicity Bailey Rae does. Smith's CD is one that is worth that type of acclaim.

LOVE HER! =] My fav song is 'Like A Star'....he voice is so peaceful.
Let's go down 2 the holy river,
If we drown then we'll be delivered.
If we don't then we'll never see the light.
If U die before U try,
U'll have 2 come back and face the light.
When U believe it, U got a good reason 2 cry.

She's okay but not as great as I was lead to believe before I'd heard her. It's pretty music, but unfortunately it's also safe music.

Her sound is tight and smooth. A modern day sade.
Till it happens to you is one of my favorite cuts by her.
