"Love Plus One" - Haircut One Hundred

Been listening to this song, I love it! I remember when it first was released, back in 1982. Love the guitars in the beginning of the song, the Jamaican/ Carribean keyboards, then the way the drums kick in. The video wasn't much, but I sure do love this tune! Come to think of it, the lyrics aren't much either, but it's a fun song to sing along to, especially the "Eye yi yi yi ya ya...Eye eye yi yi yi yi ya ya" part. music

I haven't heard this song in ages! Was cool, though. It reminds me of such a simple time in my life. Play hookie from school and laze around in bed watching MTV in my pajamas all day. lol

Ah yes, good old Haircut 100 (stupid name, even the band said so). nod

Funky, tropical, poppy without the corniness, and fun at the same time. "Pelican West" never gets old to me.

I learned to improve my funk rhythm guitar playing through Nick Heyward and Graham Jones. guitar

cool Wonder how they came up with the name Haircut 100? It is unusual.

did it work out okay? Was there any drama? Back in 1984,the lead singer went solo while the band was still "hot"...I wonder if there was any bitterness or hurt feelings among the members?
