Oneself - Children of Possibility

OK I guess I should actually listen to this. I know it exists, my friends all saw Vadim and Yarah on their tour and I stayed sleepin'. I have other releases by Vadim and Blurum13 though, so obviously you are perfectly on track!

Also, I also LOVE the Kenny Dope edition from the same series as that Spinna disc you recommened to Finess, but I don't think I heard I heard the Spinna one.

If you haven't heard the Kenny Dope edition, that's my recommendation back to ya.

Are you proud of me for knowin your musical sense so well? smile I remember I sent a mix to Sinister and he was impressed that a track from Prefuse73 was on there. I am positive that besides he and I, maybe you and another few, there are no other orgers who even know of that group lol And I will check out that other DJ Spinna disc nod

Eileen Rose - Long Shot Novena

Speak on it!

Long Shot Novena

I LOVE how this album starts out. The first song, which is the album title, was the inspiration for one of my most favorite mixes nod The music steadily marches on as her voice, deep and full, gives away secrets and secures her in a supreme state of knowing. One of the most interesting songs I have ever heard for sure nod Funny enough I thought "Novena" was a star but it is actually a prayer.... That changed the concept of the song completely on its head lol Ok, when you contrast that song to "Good Man", well I have no idea how on earth those 2 songs could exist inside the same head lol Good Man is just straight out good old fashioned folksy/country complete with a great story behind the song. I just adore this song to death.

I found this one one of my music sprees. There was this store here in LA I used to go to and it was a little indie shop and on one wall was employee picks and she was one of the employess latest favorites and under each album would be a little statement by the employee of why this was their pick. I really don't remember what they said but it made me want to buy this album. I buy a lot of stuff based on word of mouth.

How would I describe Snake? Part Beach party, part rockabilly, part twang. Ok, I googled and someone described it as "Boxcar". Whatever that is. Wheels goin by is another country type diddy, again so different from the very first song. White Doves Awake has that epic feel, the kind of music that really opens up my mind's eyes vision. I feel like I can take a journey through this song.

This is just one of those albums for me that spells comfort. I can't really put it down to one ingredient/song/idea/feeling. It is just one of those albums I always go to for comfort. It just feels good to me. Apparently she has more stuff out there and this will be a project for me, gathering her stuff and diving in.

You are on point because I used to have Glass Candy's 'Love Love Love' album. The music was great, but the vocals were a little hard to get into in that I kept on waiting for Ida No to really sing, but it was clear that she couldn't. neutral
