Yeah well that was predicted, i am even surprised that Norah will move 350,000 at this point. She has been gone from "mainstream" for 3 years though she has been on alot of projects but not credited, she has gone back to playing smaller venues and clubs again here in NYC, so she has settled back into where she can shine. Also Norah isnt doing any promo for this project, no Tv shows, there is a video on VH1 but thats about it. As for Katharine im a little surprised at the number i thought it would be higher just based on online reports from Amazon and Cd universe which have her number one in sales, plus she is doing all the shows, plus an appearance on ABC's no.1 show Ugly Betty, so i think Katharine could be a bit higher and norah a bit lower.

Yeah thats how it would work when i was in Music Retail, i guarantee most outlets were sold out of Katharine Mcphee. As far as Hicks just the fact that he won is a joke, i dont watch the show, but i have seen clips of the two performing and Mcphee hit me as someone on a level with early Mariah Carey and Hicks just hit me as Jay Leno singing like elvis, he almost seems like a "joke" winner.

At this point 600,000 for anyone is great, i think the issue is the amount of money poured into these projects for promo,songwriters, producers etc.. thats where the labels lose it all. I think anyone selling in this climate with radio being the way it is, video being the way it is, and the fact that if you are over 21 you are considered old news, for someone like John Mellencamp to move 50,000 in a week is a sign that maybe "music" itself isnt dead, maybe the whole "HYPE" that labels used to create as a marketing tool, is dead and just doesnt work anymore
