When reading the Guitar World book about the 100 greatest players ever, I came upon a quote by Ritchie Blackmore from the band Deep Purple and what he said about The Who's guitarist Pete Townshend. He says in his quote:

"People like Beck and Hendrix get credit for things he started. Pete was definitely the first to let the guitar feedback, he was the first to break his guitar and he's very good at playing rhythm, too". End quote.

Do you all think that Blackmore's insight is correct or must you disagree with his quote?
