New Janet Release in 2007 ?

According to this website http://www.ozsoundcheck.c...5&r=rstory

Janet Jackson will return in 2007 with a new full length album set for release in the first quater as will brother Michael Jackson. Stacey Orico will also hit the scene with a new single on February 17.

But this site http://www.radaronline.co...o-play.php says its a remix of 20 Y.O.

Her best breasts: Janet Jackson's breasts continue on their relentless global PR blitz. Between junkets and photo ops, the breasts are clocking studio time to put the finishing touches on Janet's 20 YO Remix album

I though It would b the greastest hits compilation...

I hope it includes the so-called "dance tunes that gay fans will love":

Stuck Inside This Groove
Clap Your Hands

Janet's Great Tits (Best Of The "Virgin" Years) is her supposed release for 2007.

Isn't it already the first quarter right now? confuse It's probably just a Greatest Hits set.I doubt she could have recorded a new album that fast.

If it fits nicely in her catalog from your opinion it would be worth buying.
I happened to like "So excited". Never heard it on the radio though!
Is that the best song on the album?? Does the album have alot of fillers?

if you like "so excited" then you will probably like the album. It is the first album since "janet" that i like all the songs. Its stronger than her last two attempts but weaker than her classic material.

Thanks! Thats what I was wondering...I don't think she could ever top Control and Rhythm Nation! I will give this album a try.

I don't think you would find anyone that wouldn't at least imply it was a very safe album. It takes no risks. Some people like, others don't. I think the second half, mostly not with JD as co-producer, is stronger and more honest.

totally agreed. although she could have kept Do It 2 Me. There's a classic janet album in there someone...All she had to do was get rid of the first three songs and add to dance/club songs to start the album off and this would have been a classic.

totally. even as cutesy as "Daybreak" sounds, it's actually another skanky tune (lyrically).

Of course it is. It's "Boom boom til noon noon noon" time. Same lame-o lyrical retread. Daybreak is so sexless and joyless she might as well be singing about her vibrator.

Janet Jackson - Daybreak Lyrics

It's after midnight

And everyone's in their room

And I'm just waiting for the lights to go out

But in the mean time

I'm ringin' ringin' your phone

I'm sayin' baby be patient

I have almost escaped to see you

When they fall asleep

I'm gonna be free

Hope nobody wants to stay up too late

Cause I'm

Sneakin out to play tonight

Gonna take a taxi ride

Have fun with you

It feels so good I can't wait

Feels like a minute when I'm with you then

The whole thing has to end

Hurry up get back in bed

Before daybreak

I can't stay inside

I know I saw you last night

But it's already been too long

I need to feel your body

The touch of your body

But that's not all

No that's not all

When I'm around you time gets lost

When they fall asleep

I'm gonna be free

Hope nobody wants to stay up too late

Cause I'm

Sneakin out to play tonight

Gonna take a taxi ride

Have fun with you

It feels so good I can't wait

Feels like a minute when I'm with you then

The whole thing has to end

Hurry up get back in bed

Before daybreak

[Repeat]

Sneak down the stairs

Get money for the fare

Time is of the essence

So I'll tell the driver hurry up

I can't sit still

I'm like a lil' kid

Smilin' cuz I'll be in your arms in a minute

Times like this I

Can't afford to miss

Worth the risk of getting caught

Just to have your kiss

And when I have to go (it's the saddest)

But I'm so glad to know

I'll see you tomorrow

When they fall asleep

I'm gonna be free

Hope nobody wants to stay up too late

Cause I'm

Sneakin out to play tonight

Gonna take a taxi ride

Have fun with you

It feels so good I can't wait

Feels like a minute when I'm with you then

The whole thing has to end

Hurry up get back in bed

Before daybreak

I'm sneakin', I'm sneakin'

I wanna spend the weekend

Have fun with you

It feels so good I can't wait

I'm sneakin', I'm sneakin'

Ain't happy that I'm leavin'

Hurry up get back in bed

Before daybreak

Cause I'm

Sneakin out to play tonight

Gonna take a taxi ride

Have fun with you

It feels so good I can't wait

Feels like a minute when I'm with you then

The whole thing has to end

Hurry up get back in bed

Before daybreak

daybreak reminds me of runaway and escapade, I can just see her singing it being all whimsical onstage again lol

she actually admitted it was about the time she was with james debarge and how she feels as young as that time right now.

I'd say it's half filler, half killer, although that might even be kind of strong because nothing on the album is what I would call bad but nothing other than maybe "Enjoy" is classic.

Killer(ish):

Enjoy
Daybreak
Do It 2 Me
Take Care
Love 2 Love
With U

Filler:

Call On Me
So Excited
Show Me
Get It Out Me
This Body

If she added some true dance pop and maybe a soft ballad rather than the recycled garbage rejected from Ciara's album it would be a great album!

Every time I think about listening to 20 YO, I ultimately decide that time could be better spent listening to Rhythm Nation or Control.
