You'll want to start with the best-of disc he released with his sister CeCe, a few years ago. Their duo did a lot to transform the contemporary gospel industry.

His solo discs are OK, but CeCe did a lot to push him vocally that I just haven't heard so much in recent years.

That said, the brother can SANG. You won't go wrong in picking up a disc by him at random. An amazing voice.

Yes indeed. If he were a secular singer, I think he would've achieved legendary status like Luther, Marvin Gaye etc. Not that there's anything wrong with singing Gospel. Bebe is the man. One of my favorite songs by him and Cece is "Celebrate New Life" That song is so uplifting.

Is all of his stuff Gospel? I was under the impression he has secular stuff in his catalog? I don't know though.

Well, toward the end of their duo, his solo songs got more "ambiguous." But, I thought they served a good purpose within gospel/Christian music: showing that, yes, Christians deal with the same issues as other people.

Ambiguous songs can be found on his solo discs, too.

And, he has popped up on secular artists' work, too. Anastacia, to name one.

Ahh, I see. Thanks for the education. The only stuff I have heard was Gospel, but I wasn't sure if it all was.
