Will.I.am Expects Michael Jackson To Release New Album On Net

Michael Jackson's new album will only he released on the internet, according to his studio collaborator Will.I.am.
The Black Eyed Peas rapper insists Thriller icon Jackson is still such a huge star, he will top the charts on the strength of download sales alone.

The 31-year-old says, "Michael is the one act who doesn't need a record label - he can do it all through social networking sites."

won't pay for, won't download. so this will be the first MJ "album" I miss then

Judging the current state of the music business, it can be a good strategy.

Download or physical release, I will buy it!

Anyway he releases I'm buying!!!! Can't wait!!!!

I was upset when prince did this and I'm a thousand times more upset that michael is doing this. Could it be the fact that he has prince's former manager in his team?

could it be that Michael is having a hard time getting a new record deal? I can't imagine that he,of all people,would want to release a new CD without a huge budget and expenses.

Actually this is a good way to hide the record sales, because we all know it aint going to sell. He needs because of his ego to sell like the biggest thing ever, instead of getting nailed/exposed. Hide online.

It's only Will I Am speculating and talking about new media, no one has said that this is what Michael Jackson is going to do.

After all, he has to finish the thing first..

Michael never said, that he won't release the album on CD.

I bet, he will sign a record deal when the album is ready to be relased, just like Prince did with his last two albums.

michael jackson is an old artist from the motown era, he will release the cd in the same way he has always done it!

This album will be Michael's 'comeback' album. That combined with the fact that Michael loves his music to sell as many copies as is humanly possible makes me think that this report is merely speculation on Will.I.Am's part, if this report is true at all. Michael's not known for taking any risks musically, it's all about making perfect pop albums that sell and let's face it, this would be the last CD for MJ to be thinking about any kind of risk that may harm sales.

It's a possibility that it may be available as a download before the CD release, but I seriously doubt it'll be download only.
