Debbie Allen 80's Album Question Came across this album the other day gathering dust and gave it another listen. The first half seems to be Debbie trying to sing. The second half sounds like someone else doing all the singing (maybe a background singer but definitely NOT Debbie). Was this common in the 80's to put an album out and have someone else's voice sing lead (C&C music Factory, Milli ...). Debbie Allen released "Special Look" on then-MCA Records in 1989. Kashif and Attala Zane Giles produced nine of the 10 songs on the album and Jesse Johnson contributed the track "Sexy Ways."

I remember when she was on soul Train promoting this album. It was around the same time she was pushing The Boys. They were going to star in a TV show and she was going to be the producer. Thank You San Alejo for getting rid of my enemies. :-0

She carrys the term "showwomanship" to the HIGHEST level. There's absloutly NOTHING this woman didn't do in the entertainment biz. Acting, dancing, producing, directing, recruiting and now,,,singing
