Nice tune with a great bridge...
My heart will soar with love that's rare and real, My smiling face will feel every cloud. And higher still beyond the blue until, I know I can ... like any man ... reach out my hand ...and touch the face of God. tA Tribal Disorder

See, that's my thing-- a lite Pop tune, with a nice arrangement, but also room for some emotion!! that bridge, and the vocals near the end are my favorite parts! ... Love Al Jarreau, and this is one of his best songs.
TA, you're so right about the bridge, it takes the song to a higher level. Someone recently got on me for praising jarreau, but he's a remarkable singer. Much like George Benson, with whom he recently did an album, he takes heat for being poppy, but it doesn't change the fact that they're both brilliant musicians. We Got By is a great album by him, kind of different than his later, more popular stuff. My Legacy

How is that album? I haven't bought any of their recent stuff, but I could see them bringing out each others' best. My Legacy

I think it's pretty good for what they're trying to do. George does some slick playing during their take on the Miles Davis tune Tutu. Some great folks are on the tracks: Patti Austin Herbie Hancock Marcus Miller Stanley Clarke Vinnie Colaiuta Paulinho Da Costa Abe Laboriel Ricky Lawson Marian Meadows Dean Parks Patrice Rushen Jill Scott tA Tribal Disorder
