Johnny Mathis & Deniece Williams - "That`s what friends are for"

worship

This album is amazing. The songs are wonderful, and they sound so good together.
I especially like their take on "You`re all i need to get by" and "Heaven must have sent you"

I only have the 10 track cd, has anyone heard the remastered edition with bonus tracks?
I don`t think i could enjoy their "Emotion" after listening to Destiny`s child`s awful version....

I have to confess, can't stand Johnny Mathis' voice boxed

I love Niecy though, but I'm mad that her album reissues are unfairly poor.

You should've heard momma cussing me out when I told her to get rid of the Johnny Mathis records that been crowding up the space lol

I don't know, man. The reason why I can't get into him is the same reason why I still can't get into Nat King Cole,,,,,uh oh, here it comes boxed lol

Too monotone-ish for my taste shrug

I don't fault anyone for their opinions.
Harley is still my "Little Sis" but this was rather stunning. smile

And I wouldn't ever think you'd fault somebody for it. I think it's more the reactions people fear they will get. Usually an admittance of that nature - as was the case this time - is followed by a boxed

A defense mechanism against the judgmental probably.

I have this on Vynl, my parents used to play this alot when I was a kid.It also includes a version of "Just the way you are",with Stevie on harmonica. Incidently, the title song is a remake of her own song from a few years before this duet album.
