HORRIBLE NEWS: Brandy causes fatal car crash...

Living in SoCal...this is one of my biggest fears as we live in a 'car culture' here as most people drive a road trip everyday just to get to work/school. Never know what can happen one moment to the next...

I live with constant fear of dying while I drive. It's like a phobia I have. Sometimes I panic that I can't start the car... confused

It's really scary. I've developed panic anxiety disorder driving in LA...everyday there's several nightmare highway stories. I get really anxious when all the big commercial trucks surrond me and want to change lanes eek
I used to drive more in my job...I'm very fortunate....but stories like Brandy's happen alot here!

Brandy's "Moesha" co-star, Lamont Bentley, was killed in January, 2005 when his car plunged off the same freeway. Another "Moesha" co-star, Merlin Santana, was killed by a gunshot wound while sitting in the passenger seat of a car in 2002.

Brandy watch out!

God, reading that article (at the end) it sounds like that show Moesha was cursed. disbelief Just like the cast of the "Poltergeist" movies.

I have that Maxi-Single! I have most of her singles, mostly from '94-'99 period...all of her singles from her 90's albums had great remixes! Here in the US they released a Spanish version of 'Steal' called 'No Pretendo' with 'Con Los Anos Que Me Quedan' (live in Mexico)...so great!

Mi Tierra is brilliant...reminds me of my mom..one of her top albums...plays it regularly to this day!

I have vinyl singles from her first few albums too...my brother and I have collected her releases since the beginning...I think he has the 45 to 'Dr Beat'...

We should start a Gloria thread! It's been awhile since the last one!

What's sad are some of the comments directed at Brandy on that website. I've lived in L.A. over 20 years and traffic straight out sucks. Even if you're the best driver, it's easy to round a curve, go over a hill and traffic will just grind to a halt leaving you to slam on your brakes. I was hit from the back five years ago because of the same thing and luckily wasn't hurt bad. I've had idiots just slam on their brakes and stop in the middle of the freeway because they just can't drive well leaving me to slam on mine. She was doing the speed limit, no drugs or alcohol were involved. This was just an unfortunate accident and it can happen to the best driver.

I so agree with you. I have a perfect driving record but anything can happen at anytime. I'm on the 101 and 10 daily and it's amazing how long it can take you to drive a few miles.

As for the comments on TMZ...there are alot of hateful bastards that comment over there...always negative....

You think that's bad? Try driving here in Minneapolis during the winter months. You have these fools who drive SUV's and Tahoe's who think they can drive as fast as they want on snow and ice while talking on the cell phone, and think they won't slide when they slam on the brakes. There are so many bad winter drivers here, It isn't funny.

Is this an LA thing? I live in Michigan (close to Detroit) and just about everyone drives (public transporation is hardly an opition like it is in places like NY). I guess because it's the motor city, driving is soo comfortable but I guess I get paniced sometimes when I'm on the expressway (at least when I started driving it back and forth a few years ago to go to my place to my parents). Winter is particularally scary, but I guess you get used to it here.
It's very tragic what happened to Brandy and it's too bad so many people on that website are so fucking immature!
