Definately one of Jimi's most powerful performances. No one since has stretched so far out with their playing like Jimi showcased here. No one. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

I don't know. I mean did you ever hear Clapton's live concert performance as a member of Derek and The Dominos from Live At The Filmore East? Was his guitar playing as inventive as Jimi's. No it wasn't. But it was every bit as powerful and passionate as Jimi's playing was here. Clapton was at an emotional high at that point in his music career and as a guitar player, playing all through the personal turmoil in his life. That being said, I absolutely treasure 'Machine Gun'. One of my favorite guitar performances ever without a doubt. [Edited 1/27/07 1:43am] [Edited 1/27/07 1:56am] | |
