"Rise" by Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass Speaking of feeling old, that's the song that Luke "seduced" Laura to on General Hospital. I was so better not knowing that....

I always used to get that song mixed up with Sheena Easton's "9 to 5 (Morning Train)". Maybe because they both have the word "morning" in them. I always, until recently in fact, thought they were by the same person. They were both songs I heard being played continually in the background when I was a kid, yet I never really cared to know who it was at that age. God, I adore this song. Lots of 70's Elton John. And everyone else posted a lot of my favorites already. Like "Nights in White Satin". more... "Baker Street" of course and "Right Down the Line" by Gerry Rafferty. "This Guy's in Love with You" and "Without Her" by Herb Alpert. "Girl You'll Be a Woman Soon", "Sweet Caroline", "Song Song Blue", "I Am, I Said" by Neil Diamond. I know some people here hate it, but Linda Ronstadt's version of "Blue Bayou". "I Saw the Light" "Hello, It's Me", "Be Nice to Me", and "We Gotta Get You a Woman" by Todd Rundgren. "The Things We Do For Love", "I'm Mandy Fly Me", and "I'm Not in Love" by 10cc. "Muskrat Love" by The Captain and Tenille. "Annie's Song", "Leaving on a Jet Plane" "Sunshine of My Shoulders", and "Sweet Surrender" by John Denver. (I guess that's more folk/country though) and probably a bunch of Olivia Newton John. I think they excised the lyric "slit your wrists now bitches cuz it's almost over," once they realized that given the rest of the lyrical content, they didn't need it to tell people they were going to die a horrible death.

In general I guess I like "lite". I changed a presetting on my Sirius from the Hits station (which plays pop and rock..mostly shit like My Chemical Romance and little else) to Starlite, which plays stuff like lite Madonna, Gloria Estafan, Seals and Croft, etc. I don't listen to it a lot like other stations but flip to it to see what they are playing.
