I like your threads sitruk7. Well, for me a rock song has to have distorted rhythm guitar... These are some of my favorites...
1. Electric Chair - Prince 2. I'm Yours - Prince 3. Let's Go Crazy - Prince 4. Give it Away - Red Hot Chilli Peppers 5. Elephants and Flowers - Prince [Edited 1/18/07 19:16pm]

One of my favorite bands, The Isley Brothers:

A band called Truth inc made what was then funk (newjackswing) aswell as some rock. A black group doing a soft rock anthem, was bizarre, but their vocals were tight.
Also, Rhythm Syndicate did mix some rock and funk on their second album "sex, life and love" (1992). "sexitivity" is a slept on jam and then some.

To me I always thought about 'Bambi' as being a straight-on hard rock song by Prince. The song sounded like it could have been on one of Van Halen's late seventies albums released right around the same time as the 'Prince' album. And the whole subject of the song just seems ripe for the group and especially for Roth. Does anyone else agree? [Edited 1/18/07 20:20pm] [Edited 1/18/07 20:25pm]

Forget "Cuddly toy" (as much as I like that song), this album is still great and well worth finding.
