Is this a concept album about him gaining all that extra weight?

Wow! I was just thinking about him the other day, wondering if they were gonna put out another record or if he was just gonna concentrate on painting. They're one of my favorite bands, so I'm happy to hear this! biggrin

The title sounds inspired by Alice In Wonderland. I'm still partial to the music he made with Twiggy, but I'll give it a chance.

Yeah. Golden Age Of Grotesque had its moments, but it sounded a little too cookie cutter metal in places.

I hope he delivers an album in the same vein of Mechanical Animals. In other words, I hope he milks some vintage bowie again. It was the only MM album I ever bought

I liked alot the visual side of the album with all the Weimar Republic references...but I hoped he explored more the gay aspect of 30's Berlin. (s)AINT was a great song

Ive been a Manson for years.

Mechanical Animals is, without a doubt, Manson's best album. It's a glammed out rock album with pop undertones. Love it. Everytime I pop in the album, it brings some great memories. I also think this was Manson's best, iconic wise.

Funny that AntiChrist Superstar is praised and Golden Age of Grotesque is sometimes criticised, cause I feel that AS is overrated and GAOG is underrated. I love GAOG. The visuals on the project were stunning, and the music was catchy and sleazy. AS never completely impressed me, though "The Beautiful People" and "Tourniquette" are among Manson's best.

Portrait of an American Family is decent, and HolyWood is alright, thought it kind of strikes me as a bit too thoughtout and contrived.

Marilyn Manson described the new album as romantic, guitar-oriented, very melodic and featuring unconventional forms of percussion. He also said at some Nightmare Before Christmas 3D release party that it will be out for Valentine's Day. But that was a while ago, they could have been some delays since then. And the debut single from the album is "Rebels Without Applause" according to RS magazine. Also note, the official website says "Marilyn Manson has nearly completed work on his upcoming album". Do you this means it is a solo album, or simply a typo?
