i have quite a few, but i was wondering if any of you have any suggestions. also i'm thinking of branching out to other decades ("she" by the misfits?) can anyone help me out? thanks in advance!

Hmmm, interesting theme.
Umm, "Leader of the Pack" The two you mentioned. Uhh, Bloodrock "DOA" Kixx "Don't Close Your Eyes" Pearl Jam "Jeremy" Blink 182 "Adam's Song" for stuff that came later. [Edited 1/25/07 8:27am]

Ex-Moderator | PS - I'd love to see your final track list. I have a soft spot for fun 50s and 60s mixes, particularly girl group stuff.
I get it from my parents. |

Ode to Billie Joe by Bobbie Gentry
Arlene by the Handsome Family is more of a murder ballad, but it's a good one.

American Pie - Don McClean A happy face, A Thumpin Bass, For A Lovin' Race. PEACE.

"Patches" - Dickey Lee
"Endless Sleep" - Jody Reynolds "Car Crash" - The Cadets "Black Denim Trousers" - The Cheers For comic relief you could include the song "Transfusion" by Nervous Norvus. Not a 'death song', per se, but does involve a car crash.

The original was by Ray Peterson but there were a number of later covers done of this song. There was a 'reponse song' to "Tell Laura I Love Her" entitled "Tell Tommy I Miss Him".
