You would just have to include 'When You Were Mine' by Prince. Probably his most succesful example of a New Wave song, with a little of his trademark funk sound around the edges of the song.

Sorry, my mistake. I read this thread incorrectly and thought the topic was about the best new wave funk songs ever made, not albums.
