Sarah and her music will always hold a special place in my heart. Every album has a special meaning to me and 'Surfacing' was no exception. Such a beautiful piece of work. 'Do What You Have To Do' and 'Sweet Surrender' are 2 of her best songs ever as is the stunning instrumental 'Last Dance'.

This album came out in Summer '97 when I had just graduated from college. It was a very pivitol time in my life as was 'Fumbling Towards Ecstasy' that came out when I began college...these 2 albums pretty much serve as bookmarks to a very important, yet emotional 4 coming of age years for me.
