I watched The Best of Soul Train on Saturday and this time,they showed a complete episode that had to be from 1979.The guests were Patrice Rushen and The Sugarhill Gang.During the line dance segment,they played a song that I instantly remembered,but I can't recall who sings it! I'm pretty sure it's called "Super Love"...sounds like it's by a male vocalist,or a funk band.....had a very distinctive synth line that reminded me of "Pop It" by One Way...


I'm gonna go crazy if I don't figure out who sings this

I actually stayed up late saturday night.. and caught some of the old soul train.... it was interesting... watching people dance.... but sorry I can't help you because all those songs were made before I was even born.... I dont even know half those people who came on the show... unless it was michael jackson

David, the song you are referring to when they came down the line was "Super Love" by Skyy.

Last week's episode was the best one they have shown so far. They really got off on that epidose, especially when they played Bill Summers and Summers Heat. There wasn't no pop shit on that particular episode. Just pure funk all the way through.
