LOVE THAT SONG!! It`s one of my favorite songs of all time, by any artist... I should have been born two decades earlier

I feel blessed to have been a part of that era I`d be sitting in front of a pair of HUGE speakers, hidden between a pile of LPs all day long... What i like about the 70s is the fact that the music was all about the music, it wasn`t about the image. However, the music is much more accessible today, you can download songs and albums. You don`t need to walk around looking for a store that has that particular cd of lp, you can just buy it on the internet.

Yes,music is much more accessible today but back then,it was FUN going to a record store.I remember in the late 70s,spending my allowance on 45s like "Shadow Dancing" by Andy Gibb and "Heaven Knows" by Donna Summer. Here's a pic of a Tower Records store in 1978....imagine if you were there at that time....you probably would have bought the Natalie Cole Live album, lol. ![]()

SoulAlive said: ![]() You know i would... It would probably been a little cheaper than the cd, but it was worth it... That looks like a huge store, i would probably get lost I don`t have many 45s, there`s one gem i found though, i think it`s called "Song for the children", it`s a rare song by Gladys Knight and the pips from the early/mid 70s, a song that never appeared on any of their albums... Not too crazy about "heaven knows", but i LOVE Donna Summer [Edited 1/25/07 9:53am]

LOVE THAT SONG!! It kinda still feels like that now. It's one I've heard all too often, so I can't enjoy it at all anymore.
