The former is a very remote possibility, but it really depends on what you call the original lineup. There are the Sugar Shack tapes from eary70s, but they are not great recordings in terms of audio quality. Maybe some remastering touh-ups can fix it up Technically, the latter is a total impossiblity since all orignal Funkadelics except Billy Nelson have passed. What fill-ins would be acceptable? I read SOMEWHERE that right before the release of the MAGGOT BRAIN album, Funkadelic did a show that was recorded LIVE and was considering being released.

First off this is the first of Bootsy's involvement, but it's much more minimal compared to Bernie's development as an arranger of other musical elements. Eddie was on the outs with George.(Billy too I think). Eddie is briefly back on SOTV. Ok thanks for the info... Have you heard anything on a live CD with the orig lineup of Funkadelic? This is about the closest.. Except Ty Lampkin first arrival as the drummer. And Harold Beane replacing Tawl Ross

Funkadelic does That what was great about them. Even George mention that they were breakin' him in. He caught on to some, but was off beat on others. Still dig it

This is not true. Billy,Tawl Ross as well Bernie Worrell are still living as for as the OG lineup of musicians are concerned. Even the keyboardist (brief stint)before Bernie is still alive . And their are many interim Funkadelics 1971-74 that are still around. OG-lineup Billy, Tawl, Bernie, Tiki (Rip), Eddie (Rip) If you include the singers you still have George, Fuzzy, Grady, Calvin, Ray(Bass singer passed on). Then there are many others that came along in the ever changing lineup of over 100 musicians that have been involved. Many consider themselves originals since they have been there over 30 years or longer. The musicains who have made them most famous are Garry Shider, Cordell Boogie Mosson, Michael Hampton, Bernie Worrell, Bootsy, Junie, Fred, Maceo, Mudbone , Jerome Brailey, Catfish Collins, Blackbyrd McKnight, P-Nut, Frankie Waddy, Dennis Chambers and too many other to mention that created the Mothership era....

No singers or studio hands. I'm wasn't sure if Mickey Atkins (who preceded Bernie) was in the band or just a studio hand. Given who has passed it is still an impossibility, but the definition of OG is pretty flexible. test
