I like your threads sitruk7.  Well, for me a rock song has to have distorted rhythm guitar... These are some of my favorites...

A band called Truth inc made what was then funk (newjackswing) aswell as some rock. A black group doing a soft rock anthem, was bizarre, but their vocals were tight.
Also, Rhythm Syndicate did mix some rock and funk on their second album "sex, life and love" (1992). "sexitivity" is a slept on jam and then some. | |

To me I always thought about 'Bambi' as being a straight-on hard rock song by Prince. The song sounded like it could have been on one of Van Halen's late seventies albums released right around the same time as the 'Prince' album. These are indeed great songs, but I've never considered them to be rock/funk. It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.
