listening to the New Birth---who remembers this 70s soul/funk band?

The first time I ever heard New Birth was in 1974.My mother went out and bought their 1971 album 'Ain't No Big Thing But It's Growing',which includes their hit cover version of "It's Impossible".That song was played all the time in our household but my favorite song from that album was a kickass uptempo jam called "How Good It Feels".The New Birth came up with many more hits: "Dream Merchant","I Can Understand It","Wild Flower",etc.

Anybody else remember this band?

I remember as a kid my mother and her best friend would listen to new birth.
I remember listening to the album with it's been a long time on it. I also remember dream merchant, wild flower, and i can understand it. I believe bobby
womack had a version of that too. Other than the slow jams i am not familiar
with their uptempo jams. One of my friends would always tell me about got to
get a knutt but i have yet to hear it. I heard one radio personality compare
them to parliament in the weird way they would dress(they are actually dressed
normal on this cd cover)but this group could actually sing. I have seen some
photos of this group dressing very odd like parliament. I will probably go to amazon and try to sample some of their tracks on this cd.
Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint
