you could try the tool Exact Audio Copy. I am not sure, but maybe it helps.

I had that problem with iTunes until I selected the "Use error correction when reading Audio CDs" checkbox

The net result was one song did not make it to the mixtape (EMI got their way). I wasn't using iTunes, but I'll try it next time, Pandurito.

Do you have any clue which kind of copy protection it is? Cactus Datashield 200/300? Try to figure it out, I think CloneCD could do the job (but I do not know if that is still developed). Anyway, Alcohol 120% maybe a good choice, too.

Do a digital/analog/digital -conversion if it's not too much work. Record it with a multitrack/sampler program.
Of course it wasn't too much work back in the day when all we had to make copies of records with was the tape deck. Now most people can't get over the idea of actually having to wait for the album to copy - of course you could be just listening to the album anyway at the same time. But damnit, too complex!

If you are running Windows, make sure you disable "Autoplay" on all of your CD/DVD drives. Some of these copy protection schemes they are putting on CDs rely on Autoplay to install themselves silently. If it's disabled, they cannot install on your system.

I always forget that. I haven't had a bad audiocard since... uhm, since Commodore 64.

I read this in another forum, but I already installed the legit (.WMA ONLY, UP TO 3 COPIES) ripping program provided on the CD.
