Ever wonder who is the wealthiest woman in entertainment? Well, now you’ll know thanks to Forbes’ latest financial list, which reveals the 20 richest women in the industry. Lea Goldman, an associate editor at the magazine, was invited on TODAY to discuss the list. To be considered, female megastars needed a minimum net worth of $45 million amassed over the course of their careers. Here’s the top 10 women.

Interesting...

I love how the top three women are rich because they are actually intelligent and have never had to sell a sexy image to make their millions (or should I say billions). Oprah went from being a poverty-stricken, molested child to the wealtiest black woman in the world and she didn't have to prance around half naked to do it. Plus, I love the fact that she has no problem giving back to others. When I heard that she took all of her employees to Hawaii last year and put them up in $500 a night rooms at a 5 star hotel, it made me respect her even more. At most companies, you'd be lucky to get a thank you card for doing a good job. J.K Rowling went from being a mother on welfare to a billionaire by writing a book. I love watching intelligent women come out on top.
