Get Bootsy? Player Of The Year & Funkentelechy Vs. The Placebo Syndrome next. Those are must-haves. For a novice Bootsy collector, you'll do just fine with the first three albums and the anthology to round up some of the later stuff. As for Parliament I recommend the aforementioned Funkentelechy and after that get Mothership Connection and Clones Of Dr. Funkenstein. It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

IMHO... they are ALL must haves
lately I've been spinning this one: "there once was a man from Peru who went to sleep in his canoe he was dreamin of Venus he took out his penis and woke up with a hand full of goo put ya foot on tha rock!" this: is another good one my fav is "Jimmy's Got A Little Bit Of Bitch In Him" it's too short! and if you're into Eddie Hazel like THAT pick this one up for damn sure there's a song from here that eeerily reminds me of something Kelis would do modern day the track is "Frantic Moment" because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

I meant to mention this one also:
I'm listening to "You Can't Miss What You Can't Measure" right now... LOVE IT!!! "sittin here with a broken heart wishing you'd come hoooome home sittin here and thinkin bout I just can't go ooooon..." and the opening track "Nappy Dugout" aforementioned, GET EM ALL!!! but my fav stuff is the Warner Bros. stuff since you want the more guitar driven shit start with the Westbound years (the beginning) but that Tales Of Kidd Funkadelic album is soooo addictive "there once was some freaks from LA who came to New York to play they was busted by the pussy posse and the prosecutor popped em in the pen!" the song I'm reciting is "Take Yo Dead Ass Home (Say Som'n Nasty)" because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."
